"Tuesdays at 2" starts January 5th at 2 pm at the Felt Building, 4th floor, 341 Main Street in Salt Lake City. Zimmerman Jones Booher have graciously agreed to host in their beautiful new space. "Tuesdays at 2" is a weekly event held every Tuesday at 2 pm. Bring a yoga mat (if you have one), a friend and open mind. If you have never tried yoga, this is a perfect opportunity to start. The instructor is easy to follow and it is a judgment-free zone. Out of shape and newbies are strongly encouraged to come.

TIPS ALL LAWYERS SHOULD KNOW ABOUT PRACTICING IN UTAH COURTS
The Litigation Section is hosting the Second Annual New Lawyer Introduction to the Scott M. Matheson Courthouse, entitled “Tips All Lawyers Should Know About Practicing in Utah Courts.” It will be held this Friday, January 15 at the Matheson Courthouse on 450 South State Street, Salt Lake City in the Jury Assembly Room. This 5-hour CLE will be as follows: 8:15‐9:00 a.m.: Donut reception with Judges and Litigation Section Board. 9:15‐10:15 a.m.: Pet peeves, best practices, and tips from the law clerks and judicial assistants, presented by Mandy Acevedo, Kristene Laterza, Julie Rigby, and to be determined law clerk 10:15‐11:00 a.m.: Introduction to Resources available at the Court, presented by Beth Jennings
11:00‐11:45 a.m.: An introduction to the clerk's office and what new lawyers should know about e‐filing cases, presented by Christine Davies and Clayson Quigley. 11:45‐1:00 p.m.: Lunch and judicial panel (Panel starts at Noon). Panelists to be determined. 1:00‐2:00 p.m.Courthouse tour: Courthouse tour with rotating stops at Juvenile Court (Bo Fairman), Utah Court of Appeals (Judges Voros, Roth and Toomey), and Utah Supreme Court (Justice Lee). The tour will conclude in a Third District Courtroom. (Mentors are invited to attend this portion of the event.) 2:00 p.m. (optional): Courtroom observation with options provided by Peyton Smith.
The cost is $30 for members of the Litigation Section (membership is free for first-year attorneys), $150 for non-members.

The Litigation Section Annual Meeting is June 10-11, 2016 in Moab. We will have CLE, a social reception with the judges who have received the 2016 Litigation Section Judicial Excellence Award on Friday night & group recreational activities on Saturday.
